Hickman County Arrest Coverage
The Hickman County Times is the best local lead. It puts out weekly print and digital issues with local news, public notices, police reports, and court items. Its dated PDFs can help you pin down a name, an incident date, or a Clinton police summary. Just remember they are retrospective reports, not a live jail roster.
The Current covers Hickman, Fulton, Graves, and Obion counties. KBSI FOX23 and West Kentucky Star run selected western Kentucky stories on arrests, drug investigations, task forces, and wanted persons. They publish when events happen, not on a daily Hickman feed. KSP Post 1 posts official incident releases for its service area. Those are selective, though, and should not be read as a full arrest log.
That is the local pattern. The Times gives you the deepest dated trail. Regional outlets add selected incidents. No outlet maintains a complete official booking blotter for the county.
Hickman Arrest News Outlets
Source type matters as much as the headline. Start with official channels. Local reporting comes next. Third-party pages are only secondary leads, and they always require a check against county and agency records.
| Outlet | Coverage | Photos? | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| KSP Post 1 | Official, selected incident releases serving Hickman County | May use incident images | Official Post 1 page |
| Hickman County Times | Weekly local news, police and court reports, public notices | No recurring mugshot section verified | Local newspaper site |
| The Current | Regional public-record, court, sheriff, and incident stories | May appear by story | Regional outlet |
| KBSI FOX23 | Event-driven arrests, warrants, task forces, and investigations | Agency, person, or scene image may appear | News section |
| West Kentucky Star | Selected local and multi-county incidents | Varies by article | Hickman County example |
| RecentlyBooked | Unofficial claimed county index with conflicting facility text | County page says images are not supplied | Secondary only; verify every result officially |
| Mugshots.com | Unofficial historical county subsection | Historical images may appear | Not a current roster or disposition source |
Watch the geography on third-party sites. Busted Newspaper's Hickman, Kentucky tag and Arrests.org's Fulton page are not Hickman County sections. They usually point to the city of Hickman, which sits in Fulton County. That mismatch makes them boundary warnings rather than useful local sources. Mugshots.zone had no clean local page either.
Search Hickman Police Archives
The public-notice archive is the practical route to old Hickman County Times PDFs, searchable by date and subject. The Hickman archive search gives a stable view of this dated local source.

The archive can surface a police summary or court notice long after a live story changes. Still, it is not the sheriff's booking archive. A newspaper item points you to the right date and agency. The official custodian must still confirm the booking record or photograph.
An August 2025 Clinton example shows real operational activity and police-report material. It does not establish a standard booking format. It does not prove every arrest appears, that photos are printed routinely, or that the paper lists booking numbers, bond, and release dates. Columbus has no separate police blotter. County reporting may be the only news trail for a Columbus event.
Hickman Mugshots in News
Photos reach news outlets in several ways. An agency may release an image with a public-safety notice. A reporter may obtain one through a public record. Or an article may simply use a scene or file photo instead. Hickman County has no routine sheriff photo feed. There is no fixed press-release gallery and no newspaper policy promising a booking image with every arrest story.
Kentucky's open-records process may open a path to an agency-held booking photograph, subject to the custodian's response and lawful exceptions. KRS 61.8746 separately covers commercial use of booking or inmate photographs and fee-for-removal practices. Neither rule forces a news outlet to publish a photo. And a published image does not prove current custody.
Official sources should always lead. This site does not rehost mugshots or build a gallery. Unofficial county indexes can be incomplete, stale, or wrong. Their copies change nothing kept by the sheriff, jail, or court.
Hickman Booking Feed Gap
No official same-day, 24-hour, 48-hour, 72-hour, weekly, or multi-day booking feed exists for Hickman County. Clinton Police publishes contact and open-records information but no daily arrest page. Columbus has no city blotter. The Fulton County Detention Center roster is the documented first stop for current custody in a Hickman arrest. It is not a Hickman-only feed, though, and has no published update schedule.
RecentlyBooked claims a last-30-days county window with multiple daily updates. Trouble is, its Hickman page describes a jail that stronger court and local sources say is not operating. That conflict matters. Treat its dates, counts, facility label, and custody claims as unverified until the sheriff or receiving facility confirms them.
Note: A missing current-roster entry may reflect release, transfer, another receiving jail, spelling, or timing, not the absence of a booking.
Trace Hickman Arrest Stories
A headline is only a starting point. Pull the story's concrete identifiers first. Then move from the publication to the official records. The first charge listed may not be the one that stuck, so do not assume it stayed unchanged along the way.
- Record the full name, publication date, incident date, arresting agency, and the county named in the story.
- Check the Fulton County Detention Center current-custody route described in the countywide roster and booking guide. Ask the sheriff or facility if the person is absent.
- Request the booking record or photograph from the agency or facility that holds it. News copy is not a substitute for the original record.
- Search the official CourtNet entrypoint using multiple identifiers, then contact the Hickman County Circuit Court Clerk if live access or matching is unclear.
- Read the docket and disposition for amendments, dismissal, diversion, plea, acquittal, conviction, or another outcome.
- When the story concerns state prison rather than local custody, use Kentucky Offender Online Lookup. Do not mistake that sentenced-offender system for a county booking feed.
Start with the Circuit Court Clerk's office in Clinton. The address is 109 S Washington Street, and the phone number is 270-653-3901. This office holds the county's official case records, covering Circuit, Family, District, and related matters. CourtNet is another option, though it redirects to a login screen. Do not assume everything is freely visible from the landing page.
Hickman City News Boundaries
Clinton gets the strongest city-level coverage in the county. The Hickman County Times runs police activity summaries, and KBSI once reported on a task-force arrest there. What Clinton lacks is a daily blotter from its police department. So after a story runs, follow-up details usually come through a records request or county custody sources.
Columbus is a different story. It has no separate police department listing in the Kentucky DLG record and no official city blotter. Before requesting anything, figure out whether the Hickman County Sheriff or KSP handled the incident. The county newspaper archive may offer background, but there is no Columbus arrest-news or mugshot section to browse.
Watch out for the biggest trap of all. The city of Hickman sits inside Fulton County, not Hickman County. Results tagged "Hickman, KY" or tied to the Hickman Police Department usually point there. Check the agency, facility, municipality, and county on every result. A familiar name alone proves nothing.
Verify Hickman Court Outcomes
A booking charge is just what got written down on intake day. It can change. Prosecutors and courts may amend it or drop it entirely. From there, a case might close through diversion, a plea, a trial, or an acquittal. Reporters publish what they know on deadline. Old articles rarely get refreshed when a case shifts.
Sometimes a search turns up nothing at all. In that case, the honest answer is that the result was not verified. Silence is not proof. An old headline, a booking photo, or a name vanishing from a current-custody roster does not establish a conviction either.
